We are a small organization but mighty in our impact and as we continue to grow, we are seeking creative and committed people to join our Board of Directors.
Engagement through Art on Wheels’ Board means sharing your expertise and energy in support of our mission and operations. It means connecting Art on Wheels to diverse people, resources, and partnerships and helping us build a community around our work.
We are looking for new Board Members who are excited to grow with us! No prior Board experience is necessary, just a belief in our mission and desire to help us live our values.
Art on Wheels Board of Directors
We are a working Board that provides hands-on support of programs, events and initiatives that help AOW carry out its mission. As the governing body, the Board helps develop big picture strategies around growth and development, partner and audience engagement, and financial sustainability.

What Art on Wheels expects from you.
- Commit to serve at least one three-year term; there is a two-term term limit.
- Attend and be prepared for Board meetings; the full board meets 10 times annually.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Art on Wheel’s history, strategic mission, organizational structure, and programs.
- Advocate for Art on Wheels in the community to build awareness and grow audiences.
- Guide our financial health by ensuring that income is managed properly, assets are guarded, adequate resources are secured to support the organization and its mission, and by making an annual contribution of an amount that is meaningful to you.
- Provide hands-on support of initiatives like: creating communication strategies, planning and implementing events, and evaluating organizational policies and procedures.
- Engage with our programs, classes, and community art events.
- Participate in and attend all special events.
- Help us build a community by introducing us to new partner organizations, communities, audiences, donors, board members, and more.
